View Deal- We are a comparison website. All deals shown are sold by third parties that we partner with. These third-party providers include major mobile networks, such as Three, O2, and Vodafone, as well as smartphone shops, such as Carphone Warehouse. To make a purchase, click on a deal, and complete the purchase on the external website.
- It's easy to keep your number when buying a new phone or SIM plan. To do this, text "PAC" to 65075 from your current number, and you'll be provided with a PAC code. Simply provide the PAC code to the mobile network you're joining on their website, and they'll transfer your old number to your new SIM.
- We occasionally display sponsored deals separately from our main comparison engine, such as at the top of the page. These deals are displayed as part of a paid advertisement by the mobile network or seller, and are labelled as "Sponsored".
- All stated costs assume that you pay monthly via direct debit. Providers may charge you a higher monthly cost if you do not pay via direct debit.
- This page does not necessarily contain all deals available from all providers on the market at any given moment.
- The information displayed on this page may not always be up-to-date. Prices, bonuses/offers, and contract terms may sometimes be different to what is shown.
- By default, we display deals with at least a 10GB monthly data limit and less than a £100 upfront cost, unless no such deals are available. Use the sliders in the filters tab to view deals with less than 10GB of data and an upfront cost of more than £100.
- "Average Monthly Cost" refers to the average amount of money you will pay for a given handset deal each month, over the life of the contract. This is the sum of the upfront cost of the plan, plus all of the monthly charges over the life of the contract, divided by the length of the contract in months.
- "Monthly Cost" and "Monthly Total Cost" refer to the amount of money you will pay each month for a given handset deal, not accounting for any upfront costs or other fees.
- Phone contracts vary in length, meaning that with some tariffs, you will be required to pay the Monthly Cost for a longer period of time. It is important to also consider the sum of all required payments - the total cost of the contract - when comparing different tariffs.
- The Monthly Cost of a given deal may vary over the life of the contract. For example, you may pay a lower Monthly Cost after the first 12 months of the contract has elapsed. Please click or tap "More Details" to view how the Monthly Cost varies over time.
- When two deals have the same sort method value, such as the same upfront cost when sorting by upfront cost, the newest deal will display higher.
- Most pay monthly phone providers increase their prices each year. Typically, prices increase by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation, plus 3.9%, each April. Read each provider's T&Cs to find out what price increases they impose.

FAQs
What is Green Smartphones?
Green Smartphones is an Ofcom-accredited smartphone comparison site.
We scour the internet to find smartphone and SIM-only deals from the UK's leading mobile networks and retailers, and rank them based on their prices and data allowances.
How do I buy a plan?
First, use our filters to find deals that meet your needs, based on factors such as their monthly cost, upfront cost, contract length, and monthly data limit.
Then, once you find a plan you like the look of, click "View deal" to see the tariff on the seller's website.
There, you can complete the checkout process, which may require passing a quick credit check, and setting up a direct debit for future payments. Once purchased, your phone will be shipped in the mail by the vendor.
How long will my phone take to arrive?
Depending on the seller, your phone should normally arrive with you within one to two business days of ordering.
Can I keep my current mobile number?
Yes. If you are switching to a plan on the same mobile network, you can complete the transfer online in your customer account after buying.
If you are switching to a new mobile network, simply text "PAC" to 65075 with your previous SIM in your phone, and you'll receive something called a porting authorisation code.
You can give this code to your new provider on their website to transfer your mobile number from your old company to your new SIM or eSIM.
How do you rank deals?
By default, deals are ranked based on their lowest average monthly cost. You can also choose to sort deals based on their data limit, monthly cost, and more.
What is average monthly cost?
To more accurately compare different smartphone deals, we compute their average monthly cost over the entire duration of the tariff.
This is calculated by taking the sum of all monthly costs incurred during the contract (including after mid-contract price rises) plus any upfront costs, and dividing this figure by the contract length in months.
The result is the average amount of money you will pay per month over the life of the contract.
How much monthly data do I need?
This depends a bit on how much you use your phone out of the house (meaning, when not on WiFi) and what you tend to use your device for.
If you just use your phone to browse the internet and occasionally use social media on the go, a 10 GB monthly data limit should be plenty - or less if you don't use your phone outside the house that often.
But if you're constantly on the go and doing data-intensive activities, such as streaming TV or YouTube on the way to work, a 100 GB or higher limit is probably best - and you might want unlimited data.
Most modern smartphones allow you to check how much monthly data you use in the device settings, in case you want to get a better idea of your exact usage at the moment.
Do handsets come with a charger?
Most of the smartphone deals we compare unfortunately do not come with a charging brick or charging cable. However, some retailers allow you to add these accessories to your cart when checking out as optional extras.
About us

We're an Ofcom-accredited smartphone comparison website that helps you save money when shopping, while also helping the environment.
We compare prices on leading handsets from brands such as Apple, Samsung, and Google, and SIM-only tariffs as well. For each phone purchased, we plant a tree, helping to offset the carbon emissions associated with the production of mobile phones.
Our Ofcom accreditation means that our comparison engine has been audited for fairness and transparency. We order deals by their lowest average monthly cost by default, and provide a range of filters to help you find the perfect tariff for your needs - based on how much you want to spend, the networks you'd consider using, and how much monthly data you need.
